Florida Scrub Jay - This blue and gray jay is 12 inches long and can be distinguished from the more common blue jay by its lack of white wing spots. Its tail is long and loose and the main portion of its back is gray. The jay avoids wetlands and forests and prefers sand pine scrub, xeric oak scrub and scrubby flatwoods.
